This Year's Instructors

MS. MARNIE
Ballet
Ms. Marnie is a registered ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance. For the past 30 years, she has shared her passion for dance with students across Canada, from coast to coast.
Her early dance training began in Kamloops, British Columbia, at the age of five. During this time, she performed in numerous local festivals and musical theatre productions. She went on to further her studies at Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto and Canadian Dance World.
Since obtaining her registered teacher status in 1994, Miss Marnie has prepared countless students for all levels of Royal Academy of Dance examinations, as well as choreographed for festivals and productions both at home and abroad.
Some of Ms. Marnie’s students have gone on to pursue further training at prestigious institutions, including Juilliard, Canada’s National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and Sheridan College.
Outside of the studio, Ms. Marnie enjoys teaching yoga, reading, travelling, and spending time with her dogs.
She is thrilled to be embarking on her sixth season with Pirouette School of Dance and looks forward to sharing her passion for the art of dance with her students.

MISS JAYDEN-ANN
Jazz / Contemporary / Modern
Miss Jayden-Ann began dancing at Pirouette School of Dance at the age of three and was a member of the Festival Team Program from the age of seven until her graduation. Throughout her years as a dancer, she trained in a variety of dance styles and developed a strong passion for both performance and dance education.
Miss Jayden-Ann successfully completed her Grade 5 RAD Ballet and Intermediate Ballet examinations, as well as her ADAPT Intermediate 2 Jazz examination. She is also a fully certified ADAPT Instructor, having completed the ADAPT Teacher Training Program.
Throughout her dance career, Miss Jayden-Ann received numerous overall, placement, and special awards. She also earned convention scholarships, providing her with the opportunity to train with some of the dance industry’s leading choreographers and educators.
As an instructor and choreographer, Miss Jayden-Ann has received recognition for her choreography and has been honoured with numerous choreography awards. She is passionate about helping dancers build confidence, develop strong technical foundations, and discover their love of dance.

MISS ADRIENNE
Acro / Hip Hop / Dance Fusion
We are thrilled to welcome Miss Adrienne back for her fifth season with us!
A graduate of the Victoria School of Performing Arts, Miss Adrienne discovered her passion for dance and cheerleading in her teen years. She brings a wealth of experience, having coached junior high cheerleading and competed in international competitions in the United States, Mexico, and Australia.
Miss Adrienne is also the longest-standing member of the Edmonton Oilers’ performance dance team, The Oilers Octane, and spent three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos’ Energy Team.
Dedicated to continuing her education as a dance instructor, Miss Adrienne has completed her teacher training with the Acro Dance Teachers Association (ADTA) and is recognized as a fully certified Premiere Professional ADTA Instructor. She remains committed to ongoing professional development and continually seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and expertise.

MISS LAURA
Hip Hop / Tap
Miss Laura was born in Calgary, AB where she started dancing at the age of 2 with One Step Ahead. When she was 11, she transitioned her dance career to the School of Alberta Ballet training in Ballet, Pointe, Character Ballet, and Modern/Contemporary. She pursued her love of Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical with Premiere Dance Academy, competing across southern Alberta in all 3 genres.
Miss Laura performed as part of the children’s cast for multiple seasons in Alberta Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker (choreographed by Edmund Stripe) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (choreographed by Wendy Wright). Her love of dance took her across Canada and the US, training in summer intensives at Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Boston Ballet School, and Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary in Miami and New York.
As an adult, her passion for dance continued partaking in Adult Tap, Hip Hop, and Ballet classes with Decidedly Jazz Danceworks in Calgary, AB. In the last year, she moved up to Cold Lake, AB where she danced in the Adult Ballet and Dance Fusion classes with Pirouette.
Miss Laura is thrilled at the opportunity to share her love of dance with the young and upcoming dancers at Pirouette for the second year!
